Free & Equal Elections to Host Oklahoma Ballot Access Fundraiser

This Thursday night near downtown of Oklahoma City, The Free & Equal Elections Foundation will hold a Fundraiser Dinner for Oklahomans for Ballot Access (OBAR).

2008 Constitution Party Presidential candidate Dr. Chuck Baldwin will be the keynote speaker at the dinner. Oklahoma State Senator Randy Brogdon and Free & Equal Chair Christina Tobin will also speak at the event.

The proceeds from the dinner will go to Oklahomans for Ballot Access to fund their lobbying effort for OK HB 1072.

The bill, sponsored by Senator Brogdon and Representative Charles Key, would dramatically reduce the signature requirements for independent and third party candidates to achieve a ballot line in Oklahoma.

The August 13 dinner will be held in the Joyner Room at the Sheraton Hotel/Reed Conference Center in Midwest City, OK. The hotel is located at 5750 Will Rogers Road, Midwest City, OK 73110.

The cost for the dinner will be $50/person and the event will be held from 6:30 to 9:00pm

This Free & Equal Elections dinner is open to members of all political parties. Democrats, Republicans, Green, Libertarian, and Constitution Party members will be in attendance.

If you are in Oklahoma, and would like to attend the dinner, please contact Thom Holmes before August 10 to reserve your seats at (918) 866-2256 or holmesta@hotmail.com.

But if you are unable to make it to Oklahoma, consider making a donation; $25, $50, $100 -whatever you are able to give, to Free & Equal to help Oklahoma HB 1072 get passed into law.

Oklahoma has some of the worst ballot access laws in the nation. Help The Free & Equal Elections Foundation and OBAR eliminate these archaic laws once and for all!
