StopTopTwo.org Holds All-Partisan Press Conference with AIP, Democratic, Green, Libertarian, Peace & Freedom, and Republican Leaders
WHAT
A press conference uniting leaders across the political spectrum will be held in Sacramento on Tuesday. The speakers will discuss their opposition to Proposition 14, the Top Two Primaries Act.
California leaders from the American Independent, Democratic, Green, Libertarian, Peace and Freedom, and Republican Parties will be in attendance.
The press conference follows the KQED Radio debate between Richard Winger and Lt. Gov. Abel Maldonado, which occurred at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 10.
Under the influence of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lt. Gov. Maldonado, big corporations, big business leaders, political action committees, bankers, and wealthy retirees have contributed substantial sums of money to support Proposition 14: http://cal-access.sos.ca.gov/Campaign/Committees/Detail.aspx?id=1322507&session=2009&view=late1
