Free and Equal in Detroit for 2nd US Social Forum and Green Party Annual National Meeting

Free and Equal Elections Founder Christina Tobin and Executive Director Sean Haugh will both attend the 2nd US Social Forum in Detroit, MI this week. From the event website we have this description:

The gathering in Atlanta in June 2007 had 12,000 people come together in the belief that “Another World Was Possible!” Movement forces from all over the country took advantage of the opportunity to celebrate, organize, teach, debate and otherwise contribute to a growing sense that “Another U.S. Is Necessary!”

“Free and Equal will be furthering our goal of educating more people about the importance of ballot access and alternative voting systems that increase voter representation,” said Christina Tobin. “This is a prime opportunity for us to help those who are actively seeking to make the changes they want to see happen through participation in free elections.”

The 2nd US Social Forum will take place from June 22 until June 26, 2010. The Green Party Annual National Meeting will also take place from June 22 until June 26. Both events are in Detroit, Michigan.

“We are excited about attending the Green Party National Convention in Detroit. The Green Party has been on the front lines of the war to make our ballots more free and equal. It is always a pleasure to work with them to improve our elections. This is going to be an exciting week where we can support known election reformers and find new allies in the struggle for ballot access,” said Tobin.
