FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Opponents of Proposition 14, the June 8 ballot measure that would limit the number of candidates in general elections to only two, will hold two election night events:
Sacramento: 2868 Northgate Blvd, Suite 103 starting at 7:30 p.m.
Oakland: Humanist Hall, 390 – 27th St. between Broadway and Telegraph, starting at 8:00 p.m.
On hand in Sacramento and Oakland will be spokespeople from several smaller, independent parties – which will be virtually banned from the November elections – including the Green Party, Peace and Freedom Party and Libertarian Party.
StopTopTwo.Org, which has organized statewide opposition to Prop 14, will also be represented.
Decline-to-state, or independent voters, will also be available. They, purportedly, are one the groups that supporters of Prop 14 falsely claim will benefit from the measure’s passage.
The Free and Equal Elections Foundation will present its debut episode of Free & Equal Radio on election night. Hosted by Sean Haugh and Christina Qura, the two-hour program will begin at 7:00 p.m. PDT. Free & Equal Radio will be reporting LIVE from the StopTopTwo.Org election night events with special correspondent Jeff Trigg.
You can listen to a live stream of the election night events on the Free & Equal website here.
